Pain in tooth with root canal – what can I do?

$

0

QUESTION: Hi, I had a root canal last year without a crown. Now I am getting pain as if I have a cavity. What products would you recommend I purchase? Thank you in advance. – Norma

ANSWER: Norma – Root canals and crowns do not always go together. Sometimes they do, but not as a necessity. Crowned teeth do not often need a root canal and root canal-ed teeth do not often need a crown. Putting them together all the time is more marketing than science. Often a root canal-ed tooth needs some “breathing room.” It is non-vital and the bone has to adjust a tad to that.

You have pain. Have the tooth checked for a traumatic bite and have it reduced, almost taken out of occlusion, so you can hardly touch it. We would use our calcium materials on too. If nothing helps it, the pain remains, or the tooth becomes quite loose, it is cracked and may have to be removed.

In recent studies electron microscope research found that root canals work very well, about 98% of the time. But, if a tooth is cracked it cannot heal and may become infected, so it should be removed. Almost all “failed” root canals are cracked, that is, the root canal did not fail, the tooth was cracked in the first place, no one could find the crack, and the tooth failed, not the root canal.

This research was great to learn because it explains clearly why root canals succeed at a very high rate.

Calcium Therapy – GO FOR IT!

Dr. Manhart – So, my daughter has had a history of poor dental checkups. She has had her back bottom molars capped on both sides and as many as 5 cavities per visit. About 6 months ago I started her on the calcium/zinc solution and brushes. She had another dental visit yesterday. This was the first one EVER in which she did not have one cavity and got praise from the dentist. I know, who cares what they think most of the time. They’re the ones who told me there is no cure for periodontitis – ha, Thanks Dr. Manhart!!! But, I know it was these calcium products! Dr. Manhart, I know you will want to share this. Save the Queen, AND the cuspid

QUESTION: Hi, I have been using calcium therapy on three teeth in my lower jaw for about six months now. One ( rear molar) has responded very well indeed and feels quite secure now. The middle one seems quite a bit better but the end one (a canine) is still very loose thought he gum around it has stopped bleeding. Should I give up on the canine or keep going? Is there anything else I can do? I want to keep it if I can as these three teeth are three of four which anchor my lower denture.

It is a wonderful therapy whatever happens in this case, thank you very much. – Edward in Cambridgeshire, UK

ANSWER: Good job using the calcium materials. That cuspid (canine) is very important. Save it even if it needs a root canal. Since your back teeth tightened from the Calcium Therapy, they were infected on the OUTSIDE and are still alive. If the cuspid did not tighten, that must be infected or dead on the INSIDE, and needs a root canal. Root canals have been given a bad rap, esp. by those who like to take teeth out and do implants and dentures, and may not consider recent electron microscope research.

Of the few teeth with a root canals that fail, almost all are due to a fracture in the body of the tooth, NOT due to the root canal itself. Now we know why root canals work 98% of the time and are not dangerous. Yes, root-canaled teeth are nearly non-vital, and yet, are safe, just like fingernails are almost non-vital, and yet, safe. But fractured teeth should be removed. If anyone scares you about root canals they may be afraid of commonsense science that clearly keeps patients healthier and in need of less dental care.

On the other hand, implants work (“take”) only 75% of the time, AND we now have a new dental field, Peri-implantitis, a vicious infection of implants. They have no natural resistance to infection like teeth do. Avoid people who like to give up on teeth.

So, you best save that cuspid, even if it needs a root canal and loses its crown, like in the case under a denture. That root alone will save the BONE and work better as a “natural” implant.

We have done this very successfully for over 50 years, with or without the calcium materials.

Such good results for stress.

Mark. I ran out of the chips and have ordered more. Such good results for stress. The most remarkable thing happened — my “life irritation” and stress quickly melted away. I feel defeated in the best way, like my body understands the futility of engaging with the stress and just RELAXES. Before this, I was quite literally snapping at my co-workers for minor transgressions. My stress often feels inescapable for many reasons.

But your chips and the treatment of my mouth has been a panacea CONSISTENTLY. My only regret is not having used earlier and not having used more. I have been fond of topical Vitamin K, [which] has helped but it has been the calcium treatment of the problem spot, i.e, between the front teeth, that has been the true key. Can’t wait to powder up the chips and let the gums and teeth take a nice calcium bath. Enjoy your weekend! – CM in Baltimore

With calcium therapy my periodontitis has almost disappeared

Thanks Doctor – With calcium therapy my periodontitis has almost disappeared, currently I do not have any cavities, I will need some cleaning /scaling from time to time. Amazing thing is all molars have tightened up. Dentist had thought I might lose two during initial treatment by his periodontist, gums are healthy. That time my tobacco habit also aggravated the situation. I have given up that habit and your therapy is working well. Gums have receded but healthy. Surprisingly the gums on last molars have grown back. All this due to your therapy and that’s the reason I ordered so much of calcium material, for myself and my mother and a friend. Thanks a lot for your efforts and salute to your genius. Thanks and Regards – AD in India

Doc Mark: I have already noticed a huge improvement with my gums and teeth. I spoke to a dentist about the calcium therapy and they are interested to see the end results. It works, hence why I would like to help others with similar issues. While on holiday I used the skin lotion and it was amazing. I introduced it to a couple who were suffering from sunburn and they loved it. I shared the Calcium Therapy website with them so expect they will contact you.

I would also like to try the cream if it’s possible. I look forward to spreading the message about this fantastic product. – MS in the Netherlands

“Weird” is good!

Hello Dear Dr. Manhart, It has been 3 weeks since I was in your office where I received two gum treatments. You said to let you know of anything “weird” that happens. These are the weird things that happened.

  1. I started sleeping again after many years of horrible sleep disturbances which affected my entire life.
  2. An area in my upper left gum near the sinus lift and bone graft, not next to an implant, started to drain and bleed. Then healed nicely.
  3. The constant brain activity which played several songs, day in and night ceased.
  4. My experience with eating became much more efficient and comfortable.
  5. Every tooth in my had has quieted down. I do not feel any negative activity around my gums like before.
  6. Lastly, my head and body has a new balance.

Thank you so much for all your study, work, care…for the person you are. You have helped me so much. I hope to not lose one tooth and look forward to another treatment one day. – Warm regards, L S in California

Will Calcium Therapy improve the transparency of teeth?

QUESTION: I have been looking though your website. I have very transparent teeth and was wondering if you have had any clients that were able to improve the transparancy with your products? – Julie, WI

ANSWER: Yes, the Calcium Therapy allows the teeth to pick up the calcium which makes teeth white as they re-mineralize and the transparency of teeth improves. This time-release process can easily be maintained for long periods when the calcium materials are applied regularly, like using the CZ Toothbrush twice daily.

Can Calcium Therapy Save My Molars?

$

QUESTION: About 4.5 years ago I was told I had bone loss and there was nothing that could be done and I would probably lose all my molars. I have been researching for a cure for years, I have tried pretty much everything on the internet and the tooth is still getting looser. I had given up when I came across your website three weeks ago. I really hope this is what I have been looking for. – DH in the UK

ANSWER: Denise, You may have found a way to save those molars. Every day we get emails about your concerns. Back in 1965 we started treating “hopeless” molars with our calcium materials, especially ones with bone lose and trifurcation infection deep between the roots. The only choice then was to remove the tooth. That is still the protocol of today. One of the most exciting findings we have made is in all these years is in almost all of the hundeds of cases the calcium has calcified the trifurcation and strengthened the bone so well the teeth tightened and were preserved for years or decades.

What are long term results of Calcium Therapy?

QUESTION: Dr. Mark – Thanks again. I have been using the oral-cal and calcium chips for 5 days now and my gums are significantly healthier – bright pink, tighter to the teeth and the abscesses are gone.

Will let you know long term results? Brenda, Canada

ANSWER: The long-term improvements from Calcium Therapy are rapid and significant.

Every day we see specific benefits. They stimulate healthier (gums) gingival tissues and the tightening of teeth.

In the 1960s we found that they heal and regeneration molar trifurcations (where the 3 roots separate at the neck of the tooth). Over the decades of practice, we have clear clinical evidence that they enhance maxillary bone’s (upper jaw) unique ability to repair itself.

In fact, applications of calcium materials are excellent catalysts of the body in determining the source of infectious lesions of the oral cavity.

Consumers Report & New York’s on Time

$

Consumers Report writes that the good old-time dentists were right. The best things to clean the mouth and teeth are water and a brush.

cz_toothbrush2oral-cal-new-smCalcium Therapy materials, like Oral-Cal and the CZ Toothbrush, are even better. They’re a good safe source of calcium and zinc in an alkaline medium. Calcium Therapy makes the gums healthier and the teeth stronger and whiter.

Several weeks ago the New York Times reported that research shows tooth pastes and rinses are not very healthy. Right on time! A few decades ago we figured out that pastes and rinses are made with too many ingredients, some embalmers or alcohol, and leave the mouth raw and acidic. Calcium Therapy leaves the mouth and teeth pleasant, full of calcium and zinc. They become alkaline and calm so the normal healthy cells can preserve dental structures, the teeth, and one’s dignity.

I have hit the trifecta of good health since using calcium therapy

Doctor Manhart,

I have hit the trifecta of good health since using calcium therapy.

  1. Years ago in the 1970’s I had to begin Dilantin therapy which harms the gum tissue, so I had to watch my gums for any puffiness or bleeding. My gum health has been pretty good, but not as good as it is now after calcium therapy. The stippling has come back to my gingiva and I am very pleased !
  2. In October, 2013, I began calcium treatments, and had a bone density scan in October, 2014. Then, I was put on weekly Fosamax to ward off osteoporosis, and I began exercises for at least an hour six days a week. After two years that should have given me maybe a 1-2% increase in bone density.
  3. I had my two-year bone scan for osteoporosis in October 2016. This was in the report:

“… an increase of 10.3% L1-L4 and a 6.4% for bilateral total hips. Both of these changes are considered statistically significant.”

So what caused the large, significant increase – calcium therapy! Now my gums are almost perfect. I’m amazed at the results of calcium therapy. I don’t know how it all works, I just know it does.

Since using the calcium treatment, I have noticed two other things:

  1. My teeth feel smoother and not as much plaque developing.
  2. My teeth have a nice color to them – not so yellow like before.

I will continue to stay on Dilantin and the Fosomax once a week since they work and will deal with bone issues if and when they do arise. It seems to me that the calcium therapy is going to do that for me. I have an investment in my future and I want it to be a long and healthy one, and I believe it will be with the continued addition of calcium therapy

Thank you Doctor Manhart for making this possible! – JE in Nebraska

Severe periodontal disease – latest update from Germany

Dear Dr Mark,

I had an inquiry about the Calcium Therapy by a client of yours and I wanted to let you know what I have replied thus keeping you informed about my progress:

“Here are my results with Dr Manhart’s Calcium Therapy. I used the home care materials only, since I live in Germany and didn’t want fly all the way to Dr Manhart’s clinic. The results were more than successful.

I used to have severe periodontal disease with a bad infection (fiercely red bleeding gums, 12 mobile teeth, deep pockets, bone loss). My dentist predicted two years ago before I started the Calcium Therapy that I would lose most of my teeth within one year and pressed me to have gum surgery.

Well, after applying the Calcium Materials regularly my teeth have tightened, my gums are a healthy pink, no more bleeding – and my dentist had to admit that the infection is eliminated – all without gum surgery! My receding gums have not grown back but have reattached to the teeth and closed the pockets.

My husband started the Calcium Therapy about a year ago. He uses the carpules, Oral Cal Lotion and Calcium tooth brush, and his dentist confirmed a month ago that his jawbones have started to regenerate visibly at two sites —– confirmed by Before and After x-rays.. His dentist was more than stunned about this development and couldn’t trust her eyes!”

So this is my latest update and I want to thank you once again for your precious help.

Greetings from Germany - BR

P.S. I have almost forgotten the most important thing in my previous mail – A Merry and peaceful Christmas to you, your family and your team and may 2017 bring you best of luck and success.

How often should I use the carpules in order to maintain the health of my teeth?

$

QUESTION: Hello – How often should I use the carpules in order to maintain the health of my teeth (and keep them white )? Thank you. – JT in NC

ANSWER: Use the Calcium Carpules a couple times a day about 10-20 min. at first and somewhat linger as you go, maybe once a day. Each one can be reloaded with a few drops of Oral-Cal and used several times in different areas of the mouth. Do NOT sleep with them in or cut them up.

The calcium materials will whiten the teeth slowly and safely. It may take a few weeks to notice the whitening as the calcium is picked up by the teeth. Of course, one must stop using anything else in the mouth, like toothpastes, bleaching whiteners, “killer” rinses, oil pulling, herbal or exotic drugs…use nothing else. Smoking, sipping coffee/tea all day and strong spiced foods will work against keeping the teeth naturally white.

Brushing 3 to5 min. twice daily is a given routine that should be maintained. For busy people that is not so easy, so remember:

“Women and cats do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.” – Robert A. Heinlein

We had some people say they cannot tolerate food coloring, and since the colors are not essential, we took them out. Very simple, very natural! The only color now is on the labels. Blue for Oral-Cal and Red for Calotion.

An Australian Holiday: My abscess disappeared and all my teeth sensitivity subsided

Hi Dr. Manhart,

I have spent over $20,000 dollars on my teeth, thankfully afforded by my sister’s generosity. Last year after another expensive and bad-news diagnosis, I decided there had to be a better way. I found Mark Manhart’s name, read everything I could find about him, emailed him and he replied the next day. He asked to see my x-rays first, suggested the Calcium products, which I promptly ordered.

After weeks of using the Calcium kit, my abscess disappeared and all my teeth sensitivity subsided. I stopped using expensive fluoride gum and tooth pastes, dental floss and electric tooth brush. All of the Calcium Therapy has cost less than $100 for this year.

I’ve still got a ways to go, my teeth still bleed, but not as profusely as they used to. And I am so grateful that Mark is so FREEly accessible and helpful. Save yourself thousands! This year I can have a holiday, my first time in 5 years. So, much thanks to you Mark, I love your work. It’s a real Godsend for people. My family and friends need your wisdom so much! – PD in Australia

Calcium materials OK during breast feeding?

$

QUESTION: Hi! I am wondering if this is safe to use while breast feeding? I have a 8 month old and he is ebf and doesn’t eat any solids yet. Since having three babies, my teeth are terrible and I haven’t been to a dentist in 7 years and I would like to build up my teeth before seeking one out. If you can please let me know if this is safe to use while breastfeeding I would appreciate it. Thanks so much!MA in IA

ANSWER: We have never found any untoward responses to the calcium materials during breast feeding. Just the other day we talked with a patient who had the kids breast feeding longer than 8 mos., and the kid’s teeth were totally ruined into adulthood.

Our pediatrician had my 8 children on solid foods at 8 months. Like him, I agree. Breast feeding is great and natural. So in my professional opinion it’s better we help infants learn early to be independent and grow up as healthy adults with good teeth. Teeth are meant for chewing, not implants.

For years specialists in Children’s Dentistry have been treating kids at 2 y.o. and younger. Now we have an entire generation of people who hate dentistry and don’t even know why. Too much breast feeding, or dentistry, is just that, un-natural.
